I’m Jyrki Launes. I'm from Finland and received my education at the University of Helsinki. I hold a Ph.D., and my thesis in 1993 focused on brain perfusion imaging in neurological diagnosis. Over the years, I’ve authored approximately 70 research papers, although I no longer keep precise count.

As an experienced clinical neurologist, I possess specialized knowledge in neuroimaging, memory, encephalitis, and motor neuron disease. Additionally, I'm a pretty good handyman, although I’m not available for hire ;)
A few years ago, I retired, but I continue to collaborate on various projects, including some that will be newly initiated, and some ongoing studies.
